Kathmandu. Nepal lost their first match in the ICC One Day Cricket World Cup qualifiers. The home team Zimbabwe defeated Nepal by 8 wickets in the match on Sunday.

Zimbabwe completed the target of 291 runs given by Nepal in 44.1 overs with the loss of 2 wickets. Two batsmen hit centuries in Zimbabwe’s win. Craig Ervine and Sean Williams hit centuries. Craig Ervine scored 121 not out and Sean Williams scored 102 not out.

Before that, opener Joylord Gumbie added 25 runs and Wessly Madhevere added 32 runs. In bowling, Nepal’s Sompal Kami and Gulsan Jha took 1 wicket each.
