KATHMANDU: From July 27 to July 30, 2024, four members of the Japanese House of Representatives traveled to Nepal under the direction of Takebe Arata, Chair of the Standing Committee on Judicial Affairs.Makihara Hideki, Michishita Daiki, and Oguchi Yoshinori were members of the delegation team.
It was the first official visit from Japan since the formation of Prime Minister KP Oli’s new administration on July 14, 2024.They paid courtesy calls to the following individuals during their visit: Dr. Arzu Rana, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Minister of Urban Development Prakash Man Singh; Minister of Labor, Employment and Social Security Sharad Singh Bhandari; and President of Nepal, Ram Chandra Paudel. They also discussed a range of topics related to the bilateral relations between Japan and Nepal, including people-to-people exchanges.
