KATHMANDU: Today, the price of a trola of gold went up on the local market by Rs 1,800. The Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association reports that standard gold is currently selling for Rs 147,100 per tola, while fine gold is currently marketed at Rs 147,800 per tola.

The price of ordinary gold was transacted at Rs 145,000 per tola on Tuesday, while the price of fine gold was Rs 146,000 per tola. Furthermore, a tola of silver currently costs Rs 1,780. To put things in perspective, one tola is roughly 11.66 grams.
