Gold prices increased today by Rs 1,600 per tola

KATHMANDU: Today, the local market saw a rise in the price of gold of Rs 1,600 per tola. The Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association reports that ordinary gold is currently selling for Rs 148,700 per tola, while fine gold is currently priced at Rs 149,400 per tola.

Fine gold was trading at Rs 147,800 per tola on Tuesday, while standard gold was at Rs 147,100 per tola. Furthermore, a tola of silver currently costs Rs 1,800.

To put things in perspective, one tola is roughly 11.66 grams.
