KATHMANDU: The final hearing regarding the case of Nepali cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane has been scheduled for today. Previously, the proceedings were disrupted when Lamichhane, who is facing accusations of rape, departed for Zimbabwe to participate in the World Cup qualifiers.
Justice Raju Kumar Khatiwada’s bench is hearing Lamichhane’s case. Sandeep’s legal representative, Saroj Krishna Ghimire, has expressed optimism about the completion of the final hearing today, citing the fulfillment of all necessary court procedures.
Ghimire also highlighted Sandeep’s mental fatigue and emphasized that the verdict should be rendered impartially in accordance with the law, irrespective of his guilt or innocence.
