A total of 18.2 million babies born in 2024 worldwide are reported to be victims of hunger. This means that every minute, 35 babies are born into hunger-stricken areas.

In Pakistan alone, 1.4 million babies born in 2024 are suffering from hunger, according to statistics released by Save the Children. The report highlights that over 20% of Pakistan’s total population is facing inadequate nutrition.

The growing population has further aggravated this issue in Pakistan. By 2024, Pakistan’s population will have reached 241 million.

Factors such as economic instability, political uncertainty, climate change, and rising poverty are contributing to malnutrition and inadequate nourishment among the Pakistani population.
